passing

InGrappling, Passing the Ankle Line.

Problem

Standing or based, controlling one or both of bottom’s ankles.

Tell the room

Pass from ankle control through the knee and hip lines all the way to a pin. Re-insert a limb and stop the pass before the pin confirms; room to attack the passer’s legs.

Setup

Standing or based, controlling one or both of bottom’s ankles. Bottom flat on back. Flat on back; one or both ankles controlled by standing/based passer.

Score

Pin — chest-to-chest or chest-to-back held three continuous seconds without being re-guarded. Re-guard — recover a limb between yourself and the top player before the pin is confirmed.

Rules

  1. Source does not list extra tool bans; the start (ankle control only) is the constraint — must chain all three lines under resistance.
  2. Starts with ankles already controlled (first line lost).
