The calf slicer from the truck and the folkstyle leg rides. This is the signature finish of the truck — the position is so well shaped for it that Eddie Bravo nearly finished Royler Gracie with one at Metamoris III.

The economy of it is the point: the hook that holds the leg is also the wedge that compresses it. Your shin sits behind their knee to control them, and driving their heel toward their backside turns that same shin into the fulcrum. Nothing has to be rebuilt to convert control into a finish.

It shares the truck with the twister, the kneebar, the ankle lock, the toe hold and the banana split, and it is usually first among them. The others are what open when this is answered.

Elevated RiskTruck Calf Slicer is an elevated risk technique. Compression of the calf against the shin, with the knee loaded in deep flexion behind it. Muscle and connective tissue take the compression and the posterior knee takes the flexion, so the damage is diffuse rather than one ligament failing — and the defender is face-down and unable to see it building. Serious injury can occur Slower than a heel hook, which is the trap rather than the safety margin. A compression injury has no moment of failure to warn you, so late taps here cost weeks of calf rather than a single structure..
