leg locks

InGrappling, Toe Hold Game.

Problem

Full ashi garami with hip-to-hip connection confirmed before the clock.

Tell the room

Finish with the toe hold, or switch to the ankle line when the defence opens the Achilles. Extract, or deny both the toe hold and the ankle lock long enough to score the clock.

Setup

Full ashi garami with hip-to-hip connection confirmed before the clock. Trapped in ashi with the attacker connected hip-to-hip.

Score

Force the tap by rotating the foot medially via the toe-and-instep handle, or attack the ankle line to the tap if the heel becomes exposed during the defence. Extract the leg cleanly with three seconds of separation, or prevent any foot-and-ankle attack from being established for 90 continuous seconds.

Rules

  1. No heel hooks.
  2. Tap protocol before the first rep: two taps plus verbal tap; stop the finish at the tap; ten-second pause between resets.
  3. Reset on a tap, on clean extraction with three seconds of separation, or when bottom prevents any foot-and-ankle attack for 90 continuous seconds.
  4. Default rounds 3:00.
  5. Same no-heel-hook and tap-protocol rules.
  6. Tools named by source: toe pointing, toe flexing, knee flexion, secondary-leg push, full extraction.
