The leg drag from underneath. The attacker has dragged your leg across your centreline and is using it to pin your hips while they finish passing.
Nothing here is going to break. This is a passing position, and what it takes from you is the guard rather than a joint — which is why the differential is 1 and why it still deserves a page.
The defensive window is short and the recovery is genuinely available, which is a combination this family does not offer often.
Elevated RiskLeg Drag Position (Defending) is an elevated risk technique. No submission is catalogued from the leg drag itself. The risk is the knee being loaded awkwardly if the defender resists the drag with the foot planted, which is a mechanism worth knowing precisely because the position reads as harmless. Serious injury can occur Short as a positional window. The drag either completes into a pass or it does not..
If you are new to this technique: read this section before anything else. Understanding the danger is part of understanding the technique.
The person applying the technique is responsible for releasing immediately.
