InGrappling, Finishing the Escape — From the Back.

Problem

Behind with seatbelt; one hook already cleared; defender’s back turning flat, shoulders rotating in toward attacker.

Tell the room

Reclaim the back or finish before the turn completes. Finish the escape that is already underway.

Setup

Behind with seatbelt; one hook already cleared; defender’s back turning flat, shoulders rotating in toward attacker. Seatbelt still on, but one hook cleared and back/shoulders already turning in toward the attacker.

Score

Re-establish back control (recover seatbelt and a hook), OR force the tap by compressing the carotids. Complete the escape — turn in to face-to-face, OR put the attacker’s back on the mat and clear hips free.

Rules

  1. Source does not add extra top handicaps beyond starting with one hook already lost and the escape mid-turn.
  2. Finish-first start — escape is partially won; must complete the turn and free hips.
