TOP (STANDING)
POSITION
Standing in front of your partner's open guard. Any open guard is fine.
OBJECTIVE
Push into their hamstrings so their hips come off the mat, then get behind them.
CONSTRAINTS
Stay on both feet the whole time; you can't go to your knees. No chest-to-chest connection in this game: lift the hips first, then go behind. Push the hamstrings with your hands or your legs. Getting entangled doesn't stop the round. You don't need hooks.
WIN CONDITION
Any closed connection behind their back: hands locked behind their elbows, a seatbelt, a double under, or any other closed connection from behind.
BOTTOM (OPEN GUARD)
POSITION
On your back or seated in any open guard, partner standing in front of you.
OBJECTIVE
Use your posts and hooks to make space and off-balance the standing player.
CONSTRAINTS
Any off-balance counts, including an entanglement. Swap roles after the round.
WIN CONDITION
Put them on a hip (entangle them and sit them on a hip, or off-balance them to a hip and come up), or get both of their hands to the mat.
