Notes (this phone)
GUARD PLAYER (SEATED)
POSITION
Seated, with your legs somewhere between butterfly guard and closed guard: feet between your partner's legs, legs around their body, or one of each. Leave room for your partner to lock their hands behind your lower back.
OBJECTIVE
Gain height, reverse them, or attach to their shoulders or hips.
CONSTRAINTS
With your feet between their legs you can push, lift, and connect to the center. With your legs around their body you can move around them and attack the limbs, the shoulders and elbows or the hips and ankles. Keep track of their hands and keep trying to gain height; you can stay connected to a shoulder the whole time so every option stays open. Locking a closed guard is not enough. Locking it up is the win: don't finish, stop there and reset. Tap and release the moment anything loads an elbow, shoulder, knee, ankle, or the neck; reset on a tap. Alternate roles.
WIN CONDITION
Two closed connections around the center (one high and one low, or a body lock with one of your legs between theirs), or two closed connections on a limb, for example around the shoulder and the elbow or wrist, or around the hip and the foot.
TOP PLAYER (BODY LOCK)
POSITION
In front of your partner's seated guard with your hands locked behind their lower back.
OBJECTIVE
Beat their knees and get behind them.
CONSTRAINTS
Work to control their knees. Feel for the moment you can connect behind their knees and attach to a leg, or the moment they turn and you can connect behind their shoulders. Tap and release on any limb pressure; reset on a tap. Alternate roles.
WIN CONDITION
A leg lock (two closed connections on a leg), or a transition to their back.

Elevated safety. Confirm tap-and-release before the first rep. Stop at the tap. Do not run this if the room is not already serious about it.
