TOP PLAYER
POSITION
Kneeling in your partner's closed guard.
OBJECTIVE
Get to your feet, open their legs, and get to the outside of their feet.
CONSTRAINTS
Stay standing; you do not drop to win. Go any direction, including above the head, and if they turn, follow and touch. Release immediately on any tap or yell, especially once legs are entangled.
WIN CONDITION
While standing, touch your partner's body with either shin from outside their legs, anywhere on the body.
BOTTOM PLAYER
POSITION
On your back with closed guard on the top player.
OBJECTIVE
Connect to the upper body, trap the head and arm with your legs, or entangle a leg.
CONSTRAINTS
Pick your focus; any of the three wins counts. An entanglement only counts once the top player is grounded, and the order does not matter (ground them then entangle, or entangle as they go down). Entanglements are positional wins: release immediately on any tap or yell.
WIN CONDITION
Any one of three: a grip under the elbow plus a closed-hand connection at one shoulder, head and shoulder, or both shoulders; a shoulder connection with your legs with the head covered or the arm pulled out (head and arm trapped between your legs, not necessarily a triangle, or their head trapped with a shoulder connected); or an entanglement on a grounded partner.
