Biceps to the Ear
pins
Grapplers Collective, Biceps to the Ear. 5-6 min rounds.
Problem
Isolating one arm from mount until the bottom's own biceps touches their head.
Tell the room
Top starts with one underhook and drives that arm until the bottom's own biceps touches their head. Bottom recovers guard or reverses. Three seconds counts, and chest to back counts if the bottom turns away.
Setup
Start mounted with one underhook. Top in full mount, hips low, one arm already under the bottom's near arm. Bottom flat, other elbow tight.
Score
One arm pinned to the head.
- Top — the bottom's biceps held against their own head for three seconds
- Top — chest to back when the bottom turns away, held three seconds
- Bottom — recovers any guard, or reverses to top
Rules
- No submissions. The control scores, not the finish.
- Trap it, do not grip it. Hands may move the arm. The count needs a knee, shin, head, or chest.
- Mount only until the turn. Chest to back counts only when the bottom turns away first.
Adjust
Easier
Drop the count to one second, so a real isolation that does not last still scores.
Harder
Allow finishes once the arm reaches the ear, so the bottom defends the attack too.
If it stalls
If the top reaches with two hands and gets bridged, ask what their knees and head are doing.
