BOTH PLAYERS

TOP PLAYER and BOTTOM PLAYER share these rules.

POSITION

Standing near the center of one shared mat tile, facing the other player, no grips. Every edge of the tile is live. Keep the landing area around the tile clear. Symmetric with the other player.

OBJECTIVE

Use live grips to push or pull the partner so both of their feet finish fully outside the tile while you keep at least one of your own feet on the tile.

CONSTRAINTS

A point counts only while you hold at least one legal upper-body grip. Stay on your feet — no trips, throws, guard pulls, or deliberate takedowns. A hand, knee, hip, or simultaneous exit ends the exchange with no point. Reset after each score or no-point exit. 2-3 min rounds.

WIN CONDITION

Opponent places both feet fully outside the tile while you keep at least one foot on the tile and hold an upper-body grip.
