Base, Frame, Knee
pins
Grapplers Collective, Base, Frame, Knee. 5-6 min rounds.
Problem
A front body lock where the bottom keeps three of the four escape tools.
Tell the room
Top holds a front body lock and finishes a pin. Bottom pushes the head away, pulls a knee in, or stands. A pin held three seconds scores.
Setup
Start seated, locked from the front. Bottom sits on one hip, posted on that hand. Top faces them with a body lock around the hips, head in front.
Score
A pin, a knee, or standing.
- Top — any pin held three seconds
- Bottom — gets a knee or a shin in between the two bodies
- Bottom — stands to both feet
Rules
- Lock stays in front. Hands locked around the hips, no circling behind, no lifting and dropping.
- No arm grips for the top. The bottom's frames stay live, so only the body lock holds them.
- The head is live. Bottom may push the top's head and shoulders. No hands on the face.
Adjust
Easier
Bottom starts with one hand already on the top's head.
Harder
Top may switch to a rear body lock when the bottom turns away.
If it stalls
If the bottom pushes the head but never moves a knee, ask what the push is buying them.
