Grapplers Collective, Add the Legs. 5-6 min rounds.

Problem

Getting a hook or a body triangle from a no-hooks seatbelt without losing the back.

Tell the room

Attacker keeps the seatbelt and gets the legs on. Defender turns in or gets their back flat. Both hooks or a body triangle, held three seconds.

Setup

Start from a no-hooks seatbelt. Defender on their side or back. Attacker chest to back, seatbelt clasped, legs off and free on the mat.

Score

Attacker — both hooks or a body triangle, held three seconds Defender — turns fully chest to chest, on top or bottom Defender — gets their back flat with the attacker displaced.

Rules

  1. Seatbelt first. The leg connection counts only while the seatbelt is intact.
  2. No submissions. The attacker plays for control, never the finish.
  3. No guard pulls. Defender scores by turning to face or going back flat.

Adjust

Easier

Let a single hook count too, so a partial entry still scores.

Harder

Only a body triangle counts. Hooks alone are not enough.

If it stalls

If the attacker keeps kicking a leg in and losing it, ask what their chest and head are doing while the leg travels.
