DLR/RDLR Leg Entry

GuardLegsIntermediate

guard

Grapplers Collective, DLR/RDLR Leg Entry. 3-5 min rounds.

Problem

Two-stage chain from hook guard destabilization into leg entanglements.

Tell the room

Bottom keeps a DLR or RDLR hook, off-balances the standing player to the mat, then enters a leg entanglement. The entanglement must hold for 3 seconds.

Setup

Start in DLR or RDLR. Bottom supine with one hook on the top player's lead leg and the ankle controlled. Top standing with free grips.

Score

Hold the entry for 3 seconds.

  • Bottom — destabilizes the top player, then enters any leg entanglement
  • Top — clears the hooks and pins for 3 seconds
  • Top — creates full separation, one point

Rules

  1. Off-balance first. The top player's hands or butt must hit the mat before any entry.
  2. Keep a hook until the entry. The destabilizing hook stays on until the entanglement is set.
  3. Top stays on the feet. No voluntary kneeling until the bottom player destabilizes them.
  4. No submissions. Entanglement position scores; finishes do not.

Adjust

Easier

Drop the off-balance requirement and let the bottom player enter leg entanglements directly.

Harder

Allow leg submissions after the entry, and let the top player attack the bottom player's legs.

If it stalls

If the hook is lost during the transition, cue that the hook which off-balanced them is the entry.
