Notes (this phone)
TOP PLAYER (STANDING, ENTANGLED)
POSITION
Standing, with one leg caught in your partner's entanglement. Two starts: their feet on the outside with the leg on the straight side, or their feet on the outside with the leg on the cross side.
OBJECTIVE
Get out of the entanglement and lock your hands.
CONSTRAINTS
Focus on getting out of the position. Locked hands only count once you're clear of the threat: you can't be in the entanglement with your hands locked. If you disentangle, you still have the job of holding them down, because they can still stand up. Tap and release the moment a heel, ankle, or knee is loaded; ease into every finish so your partner has time to tap, and reset on a tap.
WIN CONDITION
Clear of the entanglement, you get a closed-hand connection around your partner's hips or shoulders.
BOTTOM PLAYER (ENTANGLING)
POSITION
On the mat with your partner's leg entangled: feet on the outside with the leg on the straight side, or feet on the outside with the leg on the cross side.
OBJECTIVE
Finish, reverse, or get up.
CONSTRAINTS
A reversal is bottom to top in any way, including getting behind them. Getting up only counts if the two of you break apart. Tap early.
WIN CONDITION
You submit your partner; you reverse them (bottom to top in any way, including getting behind); or, if you break apart, you get up to your feet.
