Notes (this phone)
TOP PLAYER (FIGURE-FOUR GRIP)
POSITION
Your partner is on their side and you start with a figure-four grip on their arm.
OBJECTIVE
Stay close, isolate the arm, and keep threatening until you submit or take the back.
CONSTRAINTS
Keep your hips as close to your partner's shoulder as you can. Try to separate that arm from everything it can touch: their body, their other arm, their legs. You don't have to stay with the Kimura grip, but you have to go from threat to threat to threat with no lag time in between: turn a twisting lock into a straight lock, or turn either one into a strangle. As long as there's a threat, the game goes on. If at any time you lose it all, you lose. Tap and release the moment anything loads an elbow, shoulder, knee, or the neck; ease into every finish so your partner has time to tap, and reset on a tap.
WIN CONDITION
You submit your partner, or you take their back.
BOTTOM PLAYER
POSITION
On your side, with your partner holding a figure-four grip on your arm.
OBJECTIVE
Get free of the threat and hide your back.
CONSTRAINTS
Tap early. If your partner runs out of threats, you win.
WIN CONDITION
You get free of every threat and hide your back.
