TOP PLAYER
POSITION
Start in settled side control. Chest to chest and perpendicular, hips low.
OBJECTIVE
Hold the chest or the hips, never both, and reach mount, back, or north-south.
CONSTRAINTS
Chest or hips, not both. Hold the upper body or the hips. Release one to take the other. Side control never scores. Only a better position counts. Isolating an arm is allowed as a means. Bottom starts flat. No frames built before the reset. Elbows tight, back on the mat. Reset when the top player holds mount, back control, or north-south for three seconds; when the bottom player recovers any guard, half guard included; or when the bottom player catches the crossing leg in three-quarter guard. 5-6 min rounds.
WIN CONDITION
Mount, back control, or north-south, held three seconds.
BOTTOM PLAYER
POSITION
Flat, elbows tight, no frames built yet.
OBJECTIVE
Recover any guard, including catching the crossing leg in three-quarter guard.
CONSTRAINTS
Same chest-or-hips, side-control-never-scores, flat-start, and named reset rules. 5-6 min rounds.
WIN CONDITION
Recovers any guard, half guard included; or catches the crossing leg in three-quarter guard.
Grapplers Collective, Chest or Hips. 5-6 min rounds.
Problem
Leaving side control for mount, back, or north-south by trading one control for the other.

- Bottom starts flat. No frames built before the reset. Elbows tight, back on the mat.
Adjust
Easier
Bottom uses one framing arm only, so the top gets a cleaner read on the trade.
Harder
Top calls the destination out loud before moving, so the bottom knows what is coming.
If it stalls
If the top rides and waits, ask which connection they are holding right now.
