TOP PLAYER (ATTACKER)
POSITION
Attacker chest-to-back with both hooks in, one arm over the shoulder trapping the near arm, the other under the far armpit gripping the wrist.
OBJECTIVE
Attacker keeps chest-to-back, both hooks, and one of the defender's arms trapped — with no hands clasped. The attacker scores by holding all three for 45 seconds.
CONSTRAINTS
Hands never clasp. No gable, S-grip, or palm-to-palm; the hands stay independent. No submissions. Strangles and joint attacks stay off the table all round. Keep an arm controlled. At least one defender arm stays trapped at all times, or the clock resets. No guard pulls. The defender scores by turning to face or going back-flat. Reset when the attacker holds chest-to-back, both hooks, and one arm controlled for 45 unbroken seconds; when the defender turns fully chest-to-chest, on top or bottom; or when the defender gets their back flat with the attacker displaced from behind. 3-5 min rounds.
WIN CONDITION
Chest-to-back, both hooks, and one arm controlled for 45 unbroken seconds.
BOTTOM PLAYER (DEFENDER)
POSITION
Held chest-to-back with both hooks in, one arm trapped over the shoulder and the far wrist gripped under the armpit.
OBJECTIVE
Defender turns in to face or gets flat.
CONSTRAINTS
Same hands-never-clasp, no-submissions, keep-an-arm-controlled, no-guard-pulls, and named reset rules. 3-5 min rounds.
WIN CONDITION
Turns fully chest-to-chest, on top or bottom; or gets their back flat with the attacker displaced from behind.
Grapplers Collective, Straight Jacket Back Control. 3-5 min rounds.
Problem
Holding back control with hooks and straight-jacket arm control, without ever clasping hands for a strangle.

Adjust
Easier
Drop the window to 30 seconds and accept one arm trapped, the other free, as enough.
Harder
Let the defender hand-fight freely, gripping and peeling the attacker's wrists, elbows, and forearms.
If it stalls
If the attacker keeps drifting toward a hand clasp, cue: "Trap their elbow, not their throat."
